June is a wonderful time of the year for a run, and we have a beautiful route for the runners!

Both runs start at Del Crary Park, on the waterfront of Little Lake.  From here, the 8K runners go north on George Street, and continue on Water Street past the Ministry of Natural Resources building and Millennium Walk on the Otonabee River Trail, Peterborough's newest park.  At this point, the 4k and the 8k split, and our 4K participants enjoy a scenic route back to the park and around the edge of Little Lake.

Runners continue over the historic Hunter St. Bridge into East City.  From here, it's south on Burnham Street, winding through quiet streets, and crossing over a picturesque wooden bridge to the Edgewater Boulevard peninsula.  At the tip of this piece of land, the runners are very close to the park and will be clearly visible by the spectators!

Runners will continue east down Maria Street, past Rogers Cove and into the quiet and serene tree-lined streets of East City.  From here, they'll cross Hunter Street through to Driscoll Terrace, and back to see the Hunter Street bridge from the other side.

Finally, they'll get a tour of fascinating downtown Peterborough, and finish back at Del Crary Park, where they'll have the opportunity (with a little luck and speed) to hear our talented Symphony Orchestra finishing their program of Beethoven!
